BCCA recently started a new initiative aimed at supporting small and medium construction employers to hire and register first-year apprentices. the company can be eligible to receive up to $10,000 per candidate to bring a qualified employee.
BC Construction Association (BCCA) has several workforce development programs available; Apprenticeship Services, Builders Code, and Integrated Newcomers. Skilled Trades Employment Program (STEP) has focused on finding motivated candidates for construction employers with jobs to fill in British Columbia.
