Construction Estimator

We are currently looking to expand our team and are recruiting for a Construction Estimator.  This position will work closely with the owners and will play a key role in accurately estimating project costs, preparing competitive bids and transferring information to Project Managers for successful implementation.

Responsibilities

• Analyze project specifications and accurately prepare cost estimates & submittal packages
• Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive quotes
• Work closely with clients to understand their requests
• Identify potential risks that may impact projects
• Liasson with clients, subcontractors and management team
• Collaborate with Project Manager to develop comprehensive project plans, establish timelines and schedules
• Ensure alignment between estimated costs and project budgets.
• Negotiate contracts with clients and subcontractors

• Strong communication and leadership ability
• Experience dealing with municipalities
• Knowledge of construction processes and building codes
• Red Seal Carpentry Trade Certificate
• Highly organized and strong attention to detail
• Advanced computer skills
• Excellent written and verbal skills
