A Celebration of Community Collaboration and Practical Education

The Canadian Home Builders’ Association Central Interior (CHBA Central Interior) proudly announces the commencement of the 2024 Training House Project. The official kick-off event took place in Orchards Walk, where attendees gathered to celebrate the project's launch in a unique construction-themed ceremony.

A construction-style ‘ribbon cutting’ with a hand-saw and plank of wood, officially kicked-off the 2022 Training House project in Tobiano on August 11.

As we celebrate National Volunteer Week 2020, we want to share with you some good news. Canadian Home Builders Association Central Interior was recognized with the Local Association of the Year Award in early March in Vancouver.

Ron MacLean dazzled a large crowd at a 50th anniversary dinner in Kamloops this week — then promised he will be back in the Tournament Capital in three years to help the Kamloops International Bantam Ice Hockey Tournament celebrate its half-century milestone.

On July 18, 2017 Federal Finance Minister Bill Morneau announced the launch of public consultations on proposed changes affecting tax planning for private corporations. CHBA will actively participate in these consultations given the potential impact of these measures on CHBA members.

On October 3, 2016, federal Finance Minister Bill Morneau announced a series of proposed changes to federal policies and legislation affecting mortgage loan insurance, mortgage lending rules, and tax treatment of capital gains from principal residences for foreign buyers.

The Coalition for Small Business Tax Fairness is urging Minister Morneau to postpone his income-sprinkling proposal until Jan. 1, 2019, provide more clarity on how it will work and, at minimum, make spouses exempt.
